Visual identity for a musical-poetic event series

Reimagining the Lied

In 2023, I created the visual identity for Vocations, an event series by Haus für Poesie that reimagines the Kunstlied (“Art Song”) through collaborative pairings of composers and poets. The design started with a logo that fits into Haus für Poesie’s existing project logos and grew into a playful system of music staves and handwritten details, inspired by back and forth between printed and manual notation in the composition process. These elements sit on colorful gradients, which change depending on the type of event—premieres and salons.
